What Is A 3/8 Cup

I fee then stupid. Only how much is 3/8 of a cup?
I don't have exactly a three/viii cup measuring cup. Should I use iii/4cup and a little chip?

3/viii cup is either:
i/4 loving cup plus two tablespoons
1/two cup minus two tablespoons

3/8 is three oz. A cup is 8 oz so three/eight is 3 oz. If you're trying to employ dry measure, then 3/viii is but under a one-half (4/8 being a half) and more than a quarter (2/8 being a quarter cup) so your closes bet is i/iii cup.

Here's the math instructor coming at ya!

1/4 loving cup can also be written as 2/eight cup
One-half of 2/8 cups is 1/viii loving cup. Ergo half of ane/4 cup is one/eight cup.

two/8 plus one/8 = three/eight
so.... 1/iv cup plus half of a ane/4 cup = three/viii cup

redpanda'due south measuring method is more accurate than trying to eyeball half of a one/4 measuring cup!

I bought a set of measuring cups that came with a 3/4 measuring cup. First time I'd ever seen ane of those and I luv having that little sucker effectually!

I have been aking every since I was a child and I have never come across having to employ 3/8cup. You acquire soemthing new every mean solar day!

Here's a chart I have taped up in my kitchen. VERY handy for when y'all double-quad a recipe and don't want to measure out 12 teaspoons. Convert it to 4 tablespoons (3 tsp = 1 Tbsp), check this nautical chart and mensurate out ane/4 cup instead. My girls LUV this! (scroll to the bottom of the page)
